There are a number of primary and secondary schools that are located in, and around, Belmont. The closest of these are Belmont City College and Belmont Primary School, both of which are located within the suburb. If you’re a little older and are looking for the closest University, Curtin University is located about 10km away from Belmont, and will only take about 20 minutes to drive there. Alternatively, UWA is only around 15km away, and ECU’s Mt Lawley campus is only 7.4km away.


Belmont is only located around 6km from Perth CBD and has easy access to the graham farmer freeway and the Swan river. With buses running frequently it could take you less than half an hour to get from your home to Belmont Forum Shopping centre. Unfortunately, the closest railway lines are the Armadale and Thronlie lines which are over 5km away, however, with great eastern highway close-by, getting into the city is a simple, and easy task. Belmont is also located near orrong road and the newly refurbished tonkin highway, which gives you easy access to Perth Airport.


Belmont Forum is the closest shopping centre to Belmont, located around 3km away depending on where you are located in the suburb. The shopping centre can easily be accessed via Public transport and via Abernethy road or Belmont ave. Belmont forum can cater for all of your needs, with there being large-chain supermarkets as well as smaller, fresh food markets, a number of clothing stores, jewelers and cafes.

There are also corner delis and small chain supermarkets close-by in Belmont if you forgot that one item on your shopping list!

Community Events

Belmont has access to a variety of different community events and sporting clubs that are close-by. These can vary from athletics to cricket, and from football to baseball. All of these sporting clubs are located nearby, and are easily accessible via car or public transport.
